The annual Garage Sale sponsored by Interior Savings Credit Union and Insurance office was held on a rainy afternoon on Friday, April 26 but the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the organizers and volunteers.
The community of Barriere turned out in support and everything was well covered under canopies including the barbecue for hot dogs, lemonade and baked treats all sold by donation.
Tables were laden with treasures donated for the annual event and even the inside of the credit union was taken up with some clothing racks and other items. Everything was by donation and all proceeds from the sale go back into the community.
“We were blown away by the amazing support in our community once again and want to thank everyone who donated items and all who dropped by to shop,” said Lindsay Arcand of Interior Savings. “Our final tally donated was $2,547.17. We are all amazed once again by the generosity of our community.”
Debbie Johnston from the Barriere Annex Thrift Shop thanked Interior Savings Credit Union and Insurance for their generous donations to the shop following their Garage Sale on Friday that also benefits our organization.”
